Exclusive Collections Gallery and the Marine Room Host the 3rd Annual The Best of the Best, A Tribute to Culinary Art for the Senses

San Diego, Calif. – (March 18, 2013)— The Exclusive Collections Fine Art Gallery and the Marine Room have collaborated for a second year to create a feast for the senses at the 3rd annual The Best of the Best, on Thursday April 11, 2013 at the Marine Room in La Jolla. As one of the most extravagant events of the year, The Best of the Best will feature a one-of-a-kind tasting menu prepared by the Marine Room’s Executive Chef Bernard Guillas and Chef de Cuisine Ron Oliver, as well as wine pairings of these custom dishes by Marine Room’s Advanced Sommelier, Lisa Redwine. This intimate and unforgettable experience will include an evening of live music, private viewings of Exclusive Collections Gallery’s original masterpieces, with a chance to interact and meet each Master Artist in an intimate setting. It is an experience like no other.

World-renowned Executive Chef Bernard Guillas of the Marine Room has created a menu that complements the various works of arts being presented. Culinary creations that will please your palette and ensnare the senses include Ahi Tuna Tiger Eye with Macadamia Mint Sauce; Imperial Wagyu Beef Cheek with Maitake, Root Vegetables, Horseradish Gremolata, and Star Anise Crab; and Alaskan Halibut with Rose Fingerlings, Campari Tomato Confit, Artichoke, and Watercress Pesto just to name a few.

Exclusive Collections Gallery’s Master Artists personally presenting their original masterpieces include:

Christopher M.: A contemporary artist that will continue his culinary legacy with delicious fervor as he paints the “maitrise de chefs” a tribute to the culinary arts. Christopher M.’s collection is sure to satisfy even the most discriminating palate.

Michael Summers: Famous for his “Pop Surrealist” paintings that portray a crisp and colorful world, alive with nostalgia, splendor, playfulness and whimsy. Summers takes everyday objects and imagery and putting them in a new context, he encourages people to take another look at the world around them.

Michael Flohr: A contemporary oil painter whose paintings are a patchwork of avant-garde, impressionistic color exhibiting a stylistic fortitude that succeeds in redefining impressionism and abstract expressionism. Depicting ordinary moments in extraordinary ways, Flohr’s work displays an artist mastery of color, perspective, technique and vision.

Asencio: A contemporary oil painter whose work cannot be pigeonholed by style or semantics. Asencio’s open brushwork, sweeping color, use of texture and precise drawing skills have resulted in a body of work that has earned him international accolades.

This intimate black tie event is anticipated to sell out. Tickets cost $200 per-person for the extraordinary evening, and can be purchased by calling the Exclusive Collections Fine Art Gallery in the Gaslamp at (800) 204-0062 or at Seaport Village at (800) 599-7111.
